Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their food and beverages promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen staff and servers to maintain high standards of service and food safety.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders, special requests, or any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance guest satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge of menu items, food preparation techniques, and service standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality can be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with guests and team members.
