Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Radiation Therapist role based in Tacoma, WA. The Radiation Therapist will deliver prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely, operating linear accelerators and other treatment equipment in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Daily responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, verifying treatment parameters, performing image guidance, and monitoring patients’ responses throughout treatment sessions. The role involves collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to review treatment plans, address patient concerns, and maintain seamless care coordination. The Radiation Therapist will also complete treatment documentation, follow strict radiation safety procedures, perform routine equipment quality checks, and contribute to a supportive, respectful care environment.
Qualifications
- Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy, or eligibility to obtain ARRT certification within required timeframe.
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program; associate or bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Sciences, or related field preferred.
- Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to support individuals and families during complex cancer treatments.
