Become part of an environment that values clinical excellence, collaboration, and resident-centered care.Position Summary:The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides high-quality rehabilitative care to residents needing support in restoring or enhancing independence with daily living skills. You will complete evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver therapeutic interventions, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support residents in reaching their highest level of function.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct evaluations and functional assessments of residents’ needs.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.Provide skilled occupational therapy services to improve ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional independence.Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans according to facility and regulatory standards.Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.Supervise OTAs, rehab aides, and students as appropriate.Maintain a valid Washington OT license and stay current with regulatory and professional standards.Follow infection control and safety procedures.Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and therapy colleagues.Stay current with continuing education and best practice guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.Valid Washington State license as an Occupational Therapist (OT).CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required.Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.Schedule:Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities availableFlexible schedulingPotential weekend or holiday rotation based on department needsWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly wage: $50.00–$70.00 (DOE)Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off (PTO) and PTO Buy-Back ProgramPositive, collaborative work environmentContinuing education and clinical leadership supportOpportunities for professional growth and advancementSupportive therapist-led cultureJoin a team that values compassion, professionalism, and excellence in rehabilitative care at Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center2102 South 96th Street, Tacoma, WA 98444Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
