We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations at our fast food restaurant. Prior experience in quick service & fast food restaurants, restaurant management, or hospitality management is highly valued. The Shift Leader will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and upholding operational standards to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock control, and coordinate with suppliers as needed
- Train new staff members on food handling, customer service, POS operation, and safety procedures
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain excellent customer satisfaction
- Supervise kitchen operations including food production, catering services, and bar operations if applicable
- Assist with budgeting, labor scheduling, and overall restaurant management tasks
- Support team development through ongoing training & development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and company policies during each shift
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant management, culinary supervision, or hospitality management
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and staff scheduling is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prior experience in fine dining, casual dining, catering, or hotel settings is advantageous but not required
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on team development
