Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with courtesy, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu inquiries
- Maintain organized guest lists, wait times, and seating charts using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Assist servers by delivering accurate orders and supporting food safety standards during service
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to hospitality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests professionally over the phone and in person
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing support, and POS transactions
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and guest focus
