Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Indian Cuisine Executive Chef at Tabla Franchise located in Orlando, FL. The Executive Chef will oversee and manage kitchen operations, including preparation of authentic Indian and Indian fusion dishes, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Responsibilities include menu planning, ingredient procurement, maintaining food safety standards, supervising kitchen staff, and managing inventory and supply costs. Additionally, the Executive Chef will have the opportunity to collaborate on seasonal menus and innovative culinary ideas that align with the Tabla brand.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of Indian and South Asian cuisine, including traditional cooking techniques, spice blends, and flavor profiles
- Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and innovative culinary techniques
- Skills in coordinating kitchen operations, supervising kitchen staff, and managing food preparation to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
- Proficiency in food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen inventory management
- Strong leadership, communication, and time management abilities to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team
- Passion for creativity and innovation in Indian fusion cuisine
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional chef training is preferred but not mandatory
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a fine-dining establishment or Indian cuisine restaurant is highly desirable
