Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for both hands-on meal preparation and supporting the overall kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared with quality, consistency, and care.
Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will help lead daily kitchen functions, maintain high standards of food service, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our residents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and prescribed diets
- Follow established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, service flow, and resident feedback
- Support daily kitchen operations to ensure all meals are prepared and served on time
- Train and guide kitchen staff on proper food preparation, safety, and service standards

Keep your workstation organized and ready for each meal service
- Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portioning to meet company standards
- Assist in managing food and labor costs within budgetary guidelines
- Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring proper functionality at all times
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; culinary degree preferred
- SNF/ALF experience required
- ServSafe Certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (majority of shift)
- Frequent use of hands for food preparation and kitchen tasks
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and heavier items occasionally
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform various kitchen movements as needed
