About the role
Pillars of this position are founded in the deep care for the well-being of all employee-owners, the reputation of TW Frierson in the community, and growing a strong Aerospace market presence to achieve strategic client and revenue goals.
This position holds primary responsibility for creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with clients and future clients in the Aerospace and Defense construction market through proactive communication and contact.
What you'll do
- Establish and maintain effective contact with clients in the Aerospace and Defense market.
- Identify new work leads and manage lead follow-up.
- Maintain relationships with Department of Defense agencies, prime contractors, facility developers, architects, and engineering firms.
- Maintain relationships with state, local, and federal contracting offices relevant to aerospace and defense projects.
- Serve as company representative to business, professional, and government associations within the Aerospace and Defense community.
- Represent TW Frierson at industry events, trade associations, and Aerospace and Defense conferences.
- Monitor Department of Defense facility spending trends to identify emerging opportunities.
- Lead Go/No-Go evaluations and Win Strategy development for aerospace pursuits.
- Direct and supervise development of proposals, qualification packages, and presentation materials.
- Attend client interviews and effectively present TW Frierson's qualifications to prospective clients.
- Leverage firsthand knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition processes and procurement requirements to position TW Frierson competitively.
- Lead strategic planning sessions in these market sectors to promote revenue, profitability, and growth.
- Perform additional assignments as requested by the executive team
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Aerospace sector preferred.
- Background may include Project Executive, Business Development, or procurement on Department of Defense facility programs.
- Able to walk into any client or government meeting fully conversant in Aerospace and Defense terminology and Department of Defense acquisition processes.
- Established network within Department of Defense agencies, prime contractors, and Aerospace and Defense design and engineering firms.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to produce highly effective presentations.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications.
