Position Overview
The Service Advisor / Writer is the primary point of contact between our customers and our service department. You will manage the customer experience from initial intake through final invoicing, ensuring accurate documentation, clear communication, and timely job completion.
Responsibilities
- Write and process repair orders with accurate vehicle and service information
- Communicate estimates, job status, and updates to customers throughout the repair process
- Coordinate with the shop foreman and technicians to manage workflow and priorities
- Close work orders, review invoices for accuracy, and process customer transactions
- Schedule appointments, handle inbound calls, and maintain organized customer records
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience as a service advisor, service writer, or similar role in the automotive or trucking industry
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple open jobs in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of diesel trucks and trailers preferred
- Proficient with shop management software and general computer use
