Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Job description

Responsibilities: (must be able to preform work on domestic & foreign vehicles)
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical issues, brake system failures, Suspension, Ect.
- Conduct vehicle NYS inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required for automotive repairs
- Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes & suspensions.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues
- Experience in performing auto body repairs and welding is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex vehicle problems
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and explain repair recommendations

Note: Sales experience is not relevant to the role of an Automotive Technician.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
