T&M Equipment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can design, build, and support electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, works well with others, and is comfortable both in the shop and out in the field.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in electrical design or a related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Experience with PLC programming preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work days and occasional weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD
- Design and specify electrical components, including cabling systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and radio controls
- Source and procure electrical components to support project needs
- Assemble and wire control panels, push-button stations, and configure/program radio systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely support for service calls
- Provide guidance and technical support to shop electricians during fabrication and installation
- Conduct site visits to evaluate projects, support installations, and ensure design accuracy
- Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming for system automation
- Design and troubleshoot specialized circuits, including tandem, synchronization, and anti-sway systems
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive bills of materials (BOM) for all projects
Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
