About the Position
T&E Cattle Co. is seeking a dependable and experienced Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance operations. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the proper maintenance and reliable operation of our feed trucks, feed mill, and supporting equipment.
The Shop Foreman will also be responsible for managing their assigned maintenance crew, coordinating daily activities, maintaining a clean and organized shop, and ensuring maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in equipment reliability, organization, quality workmanship, and leading a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure scheduled and required maintenance is completed on feed trucks, the feed mill, and all supporting equipment.
- Manage and direct the assigned maintenance crew in their daily activities.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate daily workflow to keep equipment operating reliably.
- Oversee maintenance and repair operations throughout the shop, feed mill, and feed yard.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service and maintenance records.
- Ensure the shop remains clean, organized, and safe.
- Manage parts inventory and ensure necessary parts, supplies, and equipment are properly stocked.
- Maintain professional working relationships with industry sales representatives, vendors, and equipment suppliers across multiple brands.
- Communicate equipment maintenance needs, priorities, and issues to management.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance, diesel mechanics, agricultural equipment, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or crew-lead experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with feed trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, feed mills, or similar machinery is preferred.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to lead, direct, and hold a maintenance crew accountable for daily responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize maintenance needs and keep equipment operating efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Compensation & Benefits
