Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and specialty beverages, ensuring consistency with established recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while managing cash handling responsibilities accurately.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverage selections, including spirits, wines, and brewing options, to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and address any special dietary needs or requests.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, delivering excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits.
- Assist in beverage recipe development and presentation to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Manage bar inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and monitor for quality control.
- Support banquet or catering events when required, ensuring seamless service during larger gatherings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles, especially as a server or bartender in fine dining or casual settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cashiering and processing transactions is essential.
- Extensive cocktail experience with skills in mixology and beverage recipe development; familiarity with spirits, wine knowledge, and craft beer is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy periods.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly, energetic approach.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and cash handling; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
