Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
• Assist with food handling, preparation, and sanitation to uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and manage guest flow effectively.
• Must be available evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
• Strong knowledge of POS systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to build guest relations
• Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to upsell menu items through suggestive selling techniques to increase sales opportunities
• Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, cash handling, and transaction processing
• Experience with serving in diverse settings such as family dining establishments, a Tavern, Bar and/or an Outdoor Patio is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills combined with a positive attitude foster guest loyalty and team collaboration
