Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M. culture
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Inspect, condition and rebuild tooling for mills
- Regrind mill and recut machine jaws
- Inspect and re-condition ID scarf equipment
- Assemble rolls with bearings
- Responsible for quick roll change cassettes with accurate set ups
- Ship and receive tooling purchased or sent out for special repair
- Maintain tooling and jaws inventory
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- N/A
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Possess a working knowledge of the ISO 9001 quality system
- Able to read, write and comprehend operating instructions, maintenance information, work instructions and procedure manuals written in English
- Able to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Able to read a tape measure, micrometers for exact measurements
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and/or individuals
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Able to use a PC for recording all tooling inspections
- Hearing ability sufficient to receive information through verbal communication
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Education Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, required
- Six months – one (1) year of related experience and/or training
Licenses/Designations and Certifications
- Forklift license/certification, required
