Regional Financial Controller

Our growing organization is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Regional Controller. This role will be responsible for our northern operations and will be based at our Northwest Indiana facility, located just off I-65 and Route 20. Travel to other locations within the assigned region is required approximately 10-20% of the time. The Regional Controller will partner closely with each location’s leadership team, and corporate finance to improve profitability, financial discipline, processes, and provide business performance data and analysis. This position will play a key role in driving operational accountability and supporting growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Embraces ACI’s 1 T.E.A.M. culture; Trusting, Energetic, Analytical and Mindful.
Ensures business transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger in a timely manner
Performs weekly detailed A/R, Inventory, and A/P reviews to ensure good working capital management.
Drives organizational and branch accountability by understanding and enforcing business processes (PO to Pay, SO to Invoice, claims, and returns).
Embraces and enforces processes for new customer and vendor onboarding including ACI terms and conditions and claims policies.
Utilizes ERP system and custom reports to identify trends and issues, drive cross-functional performance towards CEO objectives.
Direct involvement in Branch level customer and vendor claims resolutions, inventory dispositions and financial approval process.
Works with Branch and ACI Operations leadership to identify operational waste and error, drive efficient labor productivity and control costs.
Review and approve plant payable invoices for payment.
Works with leadership to ensure proper inventory practices and accurate reporting in addition to root cause analysis for variances.
Prepare Branch level annual P&L budget.
Ensure physical and systematic scrap accounting is controlled
Conduct annual fixed asset reviews with reconciliations to ACI asset records.
Review Branch level contracts and escalate to CFO when appropriate.
Be responsive to all financial and bank auditor and appraiser requests.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders/critical customers and vendors.
Motivate teammates through effective communications, both formal and informal.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role is expected to have 2-3 direct reports

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (required)
CMA/CPA preferred
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience required with demonstrated financial and accounting technical experience
Analytical strengths including budgeting, financial planning and analysis
Strong understanding of business processes and ability to cross-functionally influence process improvements
Ability to translate a business opportunity into financial justification
Ensure adherence to controls over business processes and policies
Strong sense of accountability to achieve business results and established objectives
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present and teach financial concepts to non-financial managers and leaders
Prior supervisory responsibility/experience is preferred with ability to train and develop assigned staff
Proficient with Microsoft products and ERP systems
