What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworker position at T&B Farming Group II LLC?
The employer operates a seasonal agricultural operation producing corn, oats, rye, peanuts, and food plots, along with a cow-calf cattle operation, where labor demand fluctuates throughout the year and peaks only during specific, time-sensitive periods driven by biological production cycles, forage availability, and weather-dependent field conditions. The need for H-2A workers is limited to these peak seasons and does not exist on a year-round basis. Seasonal labor is required during crop planting, growing, and harvesting periods from late spring through December, and during designated cattle production periods that include calving seasons, vaccination, branding, herd health processing, breeding, and livestock movement, all of which must be completed within narrow timeframes. Job duties include preparing land and fields for planting; operating and maintaining tractors, irrigation systems, and farm machinery; planting, cultivating, spraying, fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting crops; loading and transporting crops and materials; performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, facilities, fences, and irrigation systems; keeping production and operational records; cleaning and maintaining work areas. During calving season - feeding and watering livestock; monitoring animal health; administering or assisting with medical treatments and vaccinations; assisting with breeding and calving; herding, sorting, identifying, and moving livestock; and performing general farm and livestock care activities as required during these seasonal peak periods. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
