Job Summary
We are a growing beverage distributor based in Anderson, Indiana, seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead and develop our Sales Team across Central Indiana. This role provides leadership over sales team members with responsibility for driving sales growth, market share, and overall team performance through effective leadership, coaching, and strategic direction.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can coach the sales team members, analyze performance, and ensure consistent standards are upheld across the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Sales Team
- Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching to drive team performance and development
- Establish sales and marketing goals, including budget planning and oversight
- Ensure team alignment to company standards for product distribution, merchandising, and retail execution
- Spend regular time in the field coaching team members and reinforcing expectations
- Review sales data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and guide decision-making
- Hold the team accountable to volume and distribution targets across the territory
- Maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts and supplier partners
- Support relationship management with key accounts alongside the Account Managers
- Oversee the development of sales presentations and performance updates for senior leadership and suppliers
- Monitor market activity and guide strategies to grow brand presence and distribution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred
- 5 years of sales leadership experience, including managing leaders or supervisors preferred
- Proven people management experience with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
- Experience in beverage distribution, CPG, or food & beverage industry strongly preferred
- Strong skills in sales analytics, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, sales software, and CRM systems
- Strong technology skills required
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize effectively and drive results through others
- Strong critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
