Duties
- Assist with the preparation of concrete forms, rebar installation, and placement of concrete using mixers and pumps
- Operate hand tools and power tools for finishing surfaces, smoothing, and detailing concrete structures
- Support the pouring process by coordinating with team members to ensure even distribution and proper setting of concrete
- Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, edging, floating, and sealing to achieve smooth, level surfaces
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution
- Help with demolition, restoration, or renovation work involving concrete or masonry components
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and site activities
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete finishing techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete mixers
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Familiarity with rebar installation, form setting, plastering, stucco application, and metal stud framing is a plus
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors or lead tradespeople
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment may be preferred
