What are the responsibilities and job description for the NetSuite Administrator position at SystemsAccountants?
Our customer in NYC is seeking a hands-on NetSuite Administrator to support the company’s upcoming NetSuite ERP implementation and serve as a long-term owner of the platform post-go-live.
During the first 1–2 years, this role will focus heavily on implementation activities including business process mapping, system configuration, testing, training, integrations, and rollout support. Following implementation, the position will evolve into a strategic systems ownership role focused on optimization, process improvement, reporting, and ongoing ERP administration across retail, eCommerce, warehouse, and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end NetSuite ERP implementation including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, and deployment activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and implementation partners to design scalable business processes and workflows.
- Assist with system configuration across finance, inventory, order management, purchasing, fulfillment, warehouse operations, and eCommerce processes.
- Coordinate and support integrations between NetSuite and eCommerce platforms, WMS systems, logistics providers, and third-party applications.
- Participate in data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and go-live readiness activities.
- Develop and maintain saved searches, dashboards, reports, workflows, and system documentation.
- Serve as the primary NetSuite administrator and internal subject matter expert following implementation.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Provide ongoing user support, troubleshooting, training, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, eCommerce, and Leadership teams to support evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience within retail, consumer products, apparel, or eCommerce industries.
- Familiarity with Shopify, RF-SMART, ShipStation, Celigo, Boomi, or related retail technology platforms.
- Exposure to SuiteScript or technical NetSuite customization capabilities.
- NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation or Administrator Certification preferred.
- Experience supporting omnichannel retail operations and high-volume order environments.
