Description Of Duties And Job Responsibilities
- Check goods received to purchase orders or receiving slips, maintain records, and prepare receiving reports
- Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials
- Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations
- Responsible for labeling, storing, and inventorying items
- Ability to process warranty items such as entering Returned Goods
- Authorizations into database
- Work with Purchasing and Inventory Control to facilitate accurate inventory levels and necessary adjustments
- Cross-train in shipper position, responsible for the preparation of domestic and foreign shipments according to shipping requirements and specifications
- Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification
- Operate cranes and hoists
- Safety sensitive position
- Other duties as assigned
- At least one year shipping / receiving experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work in heavy metals manufacturing industry
- Basic proficiency in computer operations such as email, databases, spreadsheets, etc.
- Sit down forklift experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License
