Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform basic machining operations using hydraulic presses, drill presses, or iron worker
- Work in tandem with press and shear operators to shear and form metal parts
- Perform basic quality control checks
- Perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance
- Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables to load/unload material
- Label materials produced and scan shop orders within an ERP system
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- No minimum education required
- No prior experience
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32"
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit up
- Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel
- Ability to climb and balance
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to see, talk, and hear
- Experience working in a manufacturing, machine shop, or related environment
