Overview
We are seeking a CAD Engineer II to support design and development efforts within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role will focus on creating and maintaining high-quality CAD models and drawings to support product development, manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for engineering projects
- Support design efforts for sheet metal and plastic/injection-molded components
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the design process
- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturability and quality
- Build and manage assemblies, including BOM structures and exploded views
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure CAD data integrity within PLM systems
- Identify and resolve design issues in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of hands-on experience with NX CAD and Teamcenter (required)
- Strong understanding of:
- Associative CAD modeling
- Parent/child relationships in assemblies
- 2D drafting and drawing creation
- Assembly fundamentals (constraints, coordinates, BOMs)
- Experience with:
- Sheet metal design
- Plastic / injection-molded part design
- Tolerance analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with surfacing techniques
- Familiarity with PLM systems and product lifecycle workflows
- Experience working in consumer product or hardware development environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
