Description
The Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and performs basic accounting tasks in general or specialized accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing financial reports and records.
- Preparing standard reports and statements such as project, labor and expense reports.
- Assisting higher level accountants in a variety of accounting assignments including the preparation, analysis, review, verification and reconciliation of various records, financial reports and statements.
- Establishing and maintaining accurate, detailed financial records.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field OR 6 years of accounting experience.
- 4 out of 5 Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint.
- Experience filing and paying monthly/quarterly taxes.
- Familiarity with indirect and provisional rates.
- Working knowledge supporting DCAA, CAS, and SOX compliance.
- Experience tracking expenditures to budget using multiple sources for account reconciliations.
