Civil / Structural Designer / Drafter (Junior, Mid-Level, Senior, Lead)
Position Overview
We are seeking Civil / Structural Designers and Drafters at multiple experience levels to join our growing engineering team. These roles support a wide range of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects and involve preparing accurate 2D and 3D design drawings, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring constructible, code-compliant deliverables.
Level of responsibility, technical complexity, and leadership will be aligned with experience.
Key Responsibilities (Level-Based)
All Levels

Develop and prepare civil and structural drawings, models, and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit

Produce accurate plans, sections, details, and schedules in accordance with project specifications

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines
-
Apply industry standards, codes, and safety requirements to all designs
-
Participate in design reviews and incorporate redline comments
-
Support project documentation and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
Mid-Level / Senior Designer Responsibilities

Perform advanced drafting and detailing for steel, concrete, and site layouts
-
Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and quality control
-
Coordinate across disciplines to resolve design conflicts
-
Assist with field verification and site visits as required
-
Work independently on assigned tasks while meeting project deadlines
Senior / Lead Designer Responsibilities

Lead large or complex drafting and design assignments from concept through final design

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and drafters
-
Interface directly with engineers and project management on design strategy and execution
-
Review and check drawings produced by others for quality and compliance

Support schedule planning and workload coordination
Qualifications (Flexible by Level)
Education
-
Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field

Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
Experience
-
Junior: 0–3 years of civil/structural drafting experience

Mid-Level: 4–8 years of experience
-
Senior: 8–15 years of experience
-
Lead: 12–15 years with demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
Technical Skills
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)

Working knowledge of Revit strongly preferred

Experience with Advance Steel or steel detailing tools is a plus
