Job Title: Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Training & Development

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Medical Affairs training programs, including onboarding, continuing education, capability development, and launch readiness.
• Translate scientific priorities and learning needs into practical, engaging training solutions.
• Establish credibility with stakeholders, independently manage complex workstreams, and deliver high-quality results.
• Develop and deliver onboarding experiences that build scientific knowledge, role clarity, and readiness for new colleagues.
• Partner with Training colleagues, Medical Affairs Strategy, field leadership, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and recommend suitable training approaches.
• Convert complex disease-state, treatment landscape, and clinical data into clear, accurate, and engaging learning materials.
• Manage assigned launch readiness and continuing education initiatives, adapting plans as scientific and business needs evolve.
• Facilitate training sessions incorporating adult learning principles and practical application.
• Manage project timelines, stakeholder input, and vendor deliverables; anticipate risks and recommend solutions to ensure timely, quality execution.
• Ensure scientific and compliance review of training materials in accordance with internal standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on learner feedback.
• Maintain clear project documentation and communicate progress, risks, and decisions.
• Improve training processes and incorporate relevant learning tools and platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields).
• 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering Medical Affairs or scientific training programs.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex training initiatives from planning through evaluation.
• Strong understanding of Medical Affairs roles, scientific exchange, and field-based and office-based learning needs.
• Ability to interpret complex scientific information and translate it into clear, audience-appropriate learning experiences.
• Experience applying adult learning principles with engaging live and virtual training.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, credibility, and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Proactive judgment, problem resolution, and escalation skills.
• Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with attention to scientific accuracy and detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, and familiarity with learning management systems and virtual training platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Oncology or hematology background
• Launch experience in Medical Affairs
• Global and regional Medical Affairs collaboration
• Management of external training vendors or content development partners
