Production Associate I- MACHINING- 1ST SHIFT

Job Title: Production Associate Level – Machining

Location: Commerce City CO
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Associate to join our machining team. This position involves operating machines and production equipment in a safe manufacturing environment, performing inspections, and supporting quality and productivity requirements. Candidates should have hands-on mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Machining & Production

• Operate and rotate within machining workstations.

• Perform power wash cleaning of crankshafts and cylinder blocks.

• Conduct detailed inspections of crankshafts and cylinder blocks.

• Use polishing machines, power tools, abrasives, and cranes.

• Perform manual cleaning of cylinder block surfaces and threaded holes.

• Use measurement tools such as bore gauges and micrometers.

• Record process results as needed.

• Operate milling machines (for skilled operators).

• Support problem-solving investigations.

• Follow documented instructions and all HSE requirements.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

• Stop work and report any hazards or incidents immediately.

• Comply with all safety standards, policies, and procedures.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Promote a safe workplace by identifying and correcting hazards.

• Participate in HSE training and initiatives.

Quality Assurance

• Follow standard work processes, SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards.

• Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.

• Report issues to minimize cost and quality risks.

Production Goals

• Meet required cycle times and production standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine housekeeping.

• Perform basic machine care and maintenance.

• Work with peers and support staff to address equipment issues.

• Remain flexible and complete additional duties as needed.
