Overview
Senior Electrical Estimator to deliver precise project cost estimates, manage vendor quotes, and support competitive bids.
Responsibilities

Project Review: Analyze project plans, drawings, schedules, and specifications to determine total scope.

Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Software Estimation: Utilize McCormick and Bluebeam to generate precise project estimates.

Market Analysis: Adjust estimates based on current market conditions, regional labor rates, and material costs.

Bid Prep & Support: Build comprehensive bid proposals with the team and present technical pricing rationale at bid meetings.

Vendor Procurement: Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Cost Tracking: Generate regular reports on cost tracking metrics and overall estimating accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Engineering and Project Management teams to resolve technical ambiguities.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience in the construction industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Software: Proficiency with McCormick, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical construction practices, methodologies, and materials for both new builds and renovations.

Specialized Tech: Familiarity with GIS, StatCom, and advanced substation technologies.

Local Regulations: Knowledge of local construction markets and regional building codes.
