Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Little Egg Harbor, NJ
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $25.00 / hr.
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote
Hours: 40 hours a week | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Handle payroll and sales tax responsibilities; sales tax experience across all states is a plus
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping tasks
- Manage payroll processes, preferably with Gusto software, which is advantageous
- Work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Initially trained in the home office, then transition to a hybrid work environment with a separate office entrance
Bookkeeper Requirements:
- Experience with bank reconciliations
- Ability to work proficiently in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Sales tax experience in all states is a plus
- Payroll experience, especially with Gusto software, is a plus
- Capacity to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Ability to train in the office before shifting to a hybrid work model
