Position: Application Specialist
Project Location: Denver, CO
Schedule: Hybrid: (Working Onsite on Wednesday)
Hourly Pay Rate: $28.00/hr.
Contract Duration: 12-Months
This position supports the On-Site Solar program in a high-volume, operations-focused environment. The contractor is responsible for managing and processing solar interconnection applications within the Salesforce platform, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely progression through established workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process customer solar interconnection applications in Salesforce
- Run reports and distribute work assignments across shared queues
- Move applications through defined workflow stages with accuracy and timeliness
- Respond to installer inquiries via Salesforce (Chatter)
- Identify and support process improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with senior team members for guidance and issue resolution
- Cross-train to support both Colorado and Minnesota operating companies
- Work primarily within the Salesforce portal
- Run reports and assign workloads
- Process applications from intake through completion stages
- Respond to installer questions via portal comments
- Collaborate with team members on assignments and escalations
- Participate in limited meetings to maintain focus time
- Occasionally engage in working sessions with high-volume installers
- Minimal direct interaction with end customers
- Highly collaborative, remote-first team with strong peer support
- One day per week onsite (typically Wednesdays)
- Daily virtual “question sessions” for troubleshooting and knowledge sharing
- Mix of experienced staff and contractors
- Emphasis on teamwork, continuous learning, and escalation when needed
- Standard business hours
- Optional overtime (1–3 hours occasionally during peak or short-staffed periods)
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems in a high-volume environment
- Ability to manage work queues and process tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive workflows
- Comfort working across integrated systems (e.g., CRM and billing platforms)
- Experience in the solar or energy industry
- Background in IT, systems, or operations
- Familiarity with SAP
- Experience navigating system integrations
