Overview
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Application Developer who is willing to work on a multi-year contract on a hybrid basis who will be mostly remote but willing to be in Oklahoma City on an as needed basis. This role will be assisting the modernization from on premise to cloud infrastructure for a critical application. The qualified candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with C#, .Net, Web API, Angular, SQL, Azure DevOps and must be local in Oklahoma currently.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications using C# .Net, Web API, Angular 16 , SQL, and Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Support the modernization of legacy systems and integration of new cloud-based solutions within Azure environment.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, maintainable code and documentation.
• Participate in Agile SDLC processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
• Develop APIs, automation workflows, and system interfaces to improve operational efficiency.
• Perform unit testing and code reviews, submitting pull requests for review and approval.
• Assist in user story creation, backlog prioritization, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and compliance with TRS business rules.
• Manage multiple development tasks to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Requirements
• Knowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile.
• Knowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, documentation standards, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Knowledge of TRS business rules, including those specific to the Pension Software System.
• Familiarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration points.
• Skill in performing all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and submitting pull requests for TRS staff to review.
• Skill in developing, enhancing, and maintaining application components that meet functional and technical requirements.
• Skill in developing clear, actionable user stories and maintaining a prioritized backlog.
• Skill in developing APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work output with minimal defects.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready software.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with TRS technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers.
• Ability to manage multiple development tasks and meet established timelines.
• Degree in Computer Science or MIS with 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent.
