Activities Coordinator

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Location: Manahawkin, New Jersey


Type: Contract-to-Hire Opportunity 

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite. This position requires a lot of traveling to multiple properties. Will be able to use company vehicle and will receive a company credit card to use for gas and purchasing event supplies. 

Hours: Monday-Friday 11:00 AM-7:00 PM or 12:00 PM-8:00 PM 


Activities Coordinator Job Duties: 

• Plan, coordinate, and run resident events (educational workshops, socials, tutoring, games, etc.), making sure everything goes smoothly and meets state guidelines
• Help residents find and apply for resources like housing/utility assistance, food programs, healthcare, and job training
• Partner with the Social Services Coordinator to organize staff, secure event spaces, and promote upcoming programs
• Set up and oversee events, ensuring residents are safe, following guidelines, and any issues are handled quickly
• Assist with preparing and purchasing materials needed for events and attend activities as scheduled
  

Activities Coordinator Job Requirements: 

• Must have a high school diploma, experience working with the public is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and method of own transportation.
• Must be willing to travel, residences are located in Southern and Central, NJ.
• Willingness to work some evenings is a must, possibly up to 3 evening a week.
• Coordinator must be flexible, empathetic, creative organized and patient.
