Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Estimating Manager to oversee and manage project estimates for new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the service industry in a construction-related role, strong bidding experience, and a deep understanding of heavy machinery moving and installation services. This role involves travel to client sites to assess project requirements and ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the estimating process for all new projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and profitable bids.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and sales teams to gather detailed project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and any potential challenges.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare and present proposals and bids to leadership and clients.
- Monitor market trends and costs to ensure competitive pricing.
- Refine and improve estimating processes and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain and update historical cost databases to improve future estimates.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations.
