What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Syringa General Hospital?
Job Summary
Provides emergency, preventive, and routine maintenance to physical plant, grounds, medical equipment, vehicles, and any and all physical equipment related to overall patient care and safety.
Essential Job Functions
· Lead on various projects related to building and construction.
· Assist with maintenance of all electrical and mechanical systems of the hospital, clinic, and all outlying buildings.
· Maintain grounds in attractive and well-groomed appearance, including snow removal and icing hazards in the winter months.
· Keep ambulances and equipment in sound running order for emergency responses.
· Help maintain a safe and productive work environment for staff and patients.
· Performs floor care such as buffing.
· Other duties could include delivering freight, painting, crawling through access holes, escape hatches work on roof, cleaning, climbing ladders.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC systems, LS codes, boilers, phone and vehicle maintenance preferred.
· Basic computer skills including Outlook and Word preferred.
· Some on-call, weekends and holiday work are required.
