Job Description

Works closely with SE Tech Services to manage digital content for the division, with emphasis on digital signage and large scale media displays. They serve as manager of the University’s brand alongside SE’s student-focused design guidelines implementing supporting outreach goals of print, digital, accessibility and more. They will design, curate and deploy dynamic content, including social and video content, across SE digital signage and maintain digital content calendars to ensure deployment in a strategic, timely manner and in alignment with the Division of Mktg and Comm’s and SE Division’s editorial calendars and branding guidelines. They will execute established SE Comm workflows pertaining to the creation of project tasks, copyediting, internal/external approval systems and University guidelines such as the Editorial Style Guide. With a strong emphasis on student support and engagement, this position will provide guidance/consultation to registered student organizations, as well as SE depts, to ensure comms meet branding/design accessibility standards. Working with the SE tech and media specialist, they will maintain and communicate best practices for digital content. They will serve as the SE photography and video contact, leading requests or scheduling support. They will support leading the intern team.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, design, production or related field.
  • Minimum three years’ work experience in a communications-related position.
  • Previous experience managing and developing content for print and digital platforms; experience with a digital signage software (FourWinds) a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects; Photoshop a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Curate, design and manage content for print, digital, social media, and to be deployed on digital signage networks, incorporating social media integration, interactive design, photography and video. This includes collaborating with campus partners and SE Technical Services to create and manage digital signage needs during large-scale events and programs, in addition to partnering with the Division of Marketing and Communications to deploy enterprise marketing and digital assets to share across SE digital channels.
  • Develop, maintain and update design, video and photography project and digital signage content calendars, in alignment with the University’s larger editorial calendar, across all networks in the Student Experience Division.
  • Work with registered student organizations and SE departments to ensure digital designs and print as applicable, meet branding, editorial and accessibility standards. This includes working internally to the SE Communication team on projects as needed for print, digital, social media, video and photography. Partner with SE Technical Services to maintain digital signage specifications, submission processes, best practices and standards.
  • Serve as a manager of the University’s brand closely alongside the Division’s student-focused design guidelines, overarchingly working to support outreach goals surrounding print, digital, social media, video, photography, accessibility and more.
  • On an as needed basis, this position will serve as the main divisional photography and video contact, by leading requests or leading scheduling delegated support of requests.
  • Support leading the Student Experience Division Communications internship team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
