Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their tables or seating areas.
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times.
- Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth seating arrangements and timely turnover.
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, or menu details.
- Process customer payments accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring proper cash handling and receipt issuance.
- Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols during guest interactions and transaction processes.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest services, enhance guest relations, and resolve any concerns promptly.
Skills
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests courteously over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills for handling cash, making change, and processing payments efficiently.
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow effectively.
