Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with efficiency and professionalism
- Handle restaurant reservation management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area
- Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, and resolving concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and guest counts accurately
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role
