We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class A/B CDL Residential Truck Driver in our Syracuse, NY, location with 100% Company-Paid Medical Benefits & Premiums and Dental, Vision and Life Premiums!

As a Class A/B CDL Residential Driver, you will be responsible for the collection and hauling of waste, yard debris and recyclable from Residential customers. You will also be expected to safely drive and operate your service vehicle at all times!

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follow safe operating practices

· Operate manual levers and/or switches that compress the collected refuse and discharge it from the body of the truck in accordance with the truck model and company safety policies and procedures

· Provide prompt, courteous and complete services to residential customers

· Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and post-trip cleaning, including, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls

· Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times.

· Report any vehicle operating malfunctions, and/or needed repairs to your supervisor immediately

· Operate residential trucks in congested city, highway and disposal areas

· Ensure proper tarping (if applicable) of vehicles to prevent loss of contents during transport.

· Be familiar with DOT regulations regarding the safe operation and required DOT documentation (including the daily Driver’s Log) required while driving his/her truck

· Communicate with and take direction from office personnel dispatching outgoing loads

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

· Fill out paperwork completely and accurately to maintain company records

Qualifications and Skills:

· Knowledge of hydraulic systems

· Ability to work independently with minimum oversight

· Ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures

· Accurately complete daily logs, reports, and vehicle inspections.

· Basic understanding of OSHA Lock Out Tag Out program and all OSHA Fire protection regulations

· Ability to follow directions, maps and GPS

Requirements:

· Must be eligible to work in the U.S

· Must possess a valid NYS CDL with no suspensions or revocations due to a moving violation or accident within two years and no DUI (driving under the influence) convictions within four years

· Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or valid exemption

· Must pass a background investigation and drug screen

· Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of satisfactory CDL driving experience and a clean driving record

· Must pass a written road test evaluation
