Senior Cost Accountant

Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Argyle, TX. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SAP and have a strong background in the manufacturing industry. This position is responsible for managing and analyzing all costs related to manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze and report on production costs, material costs, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Develop and maintain standard cost models and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand and improve cost efficiencies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts and budgets.
- Utilize SAP to maintain accurate cost accounting records and reports.
- Conduct regular audits of cost accounting processes and recommend improvements.
- Support financial planning and analysis activities by providing cost-related insights.
- Assist in inventory valuation and management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
