Job Description
- Monitor treatment parameters (temperature, humidity, chemical concentration, application rates)
- Collect and prepare samples for quality testing
- Document treatment processes and maintain accurate batch records
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of seed disinfection systems
- Conduct equipment calibration checks
- Provide timely execution and reporting of key performance indicators, operational efficiencies, and quality standards
- Adhere to all applicable HSE and corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist in conducting safety training in both classroom and on-the-job settings, while fostering a safety culture by active reporting of safety observations and improvements
- Ensure proper equipment calibration, routine inspections and clean down procedures to adhere documented procedures for external and internal certifications
- Supervise employees and third-party personnel as required
Qualifications
- AA or bachelor’s degree in Agricultural or Science based program highly preferred (minimum High School Diploma or GED required) and 3-5 years of production experience in seed processing or related experience
- Capable of operating various seed conditioning equipment
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, & Smartsheet)
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification preferred
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Strong knowledge of seed conditioning processes and quality standards
- Ability to work in a seed processing facility environment
- May require lifting and moving of seed containers
