Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise goals
- Migrate legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure while minimizing disruption
- Integrate cloud platforms with on-premises systems in hybrid environments
- Ensure compliance with cloud security and regulatory standards
- Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 6 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud architecture and design
- Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud environments
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud platforms (certifications preferred)
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance frameworks
- Proven experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect
- Experience migrating mission-critical applications to the cloud
- Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST)
- Background working with multi-disciplinary government or IC teams
