Job Title: Security Technician for Southwest Florida area
Position Summary: Primarily responsible for installing and servicing commercial security products including intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems.
General Purpose: Product installation and service
Role qualifications: Must have the ability to work collaboratively with all departments
Position Responsibilities:
· Install and service commercial security devices/systems including intrusion, access control and CCTV systems.
· Lead installation teams through successful project implementation.
· Interpret scopes of work and blueprints.
· Abide by building code standards and company safety standards.
· Identify and prepare pathways and supports for new cabling system installations.
· Pull copper and coaxial cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments.
· Exhibit professional appearance and conduct.
· Communicate with Service Coordinators, Technicians, Project Mangers, Field Managers and other co-workers as required regarding project or call status
· Provide exceptional customer service
· Participate in on-call schedule
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Ability to read blueprints
· Knowledge of electronics and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to program a plus.
· Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Technical degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
· Experience performing installation duties in commercial security or related industries .
· Valid driver’s license with clear driving record .
· Ability to drive to and from work office and work sites.
