A well-established company in Independence is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. This position has the potential for growth.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Manage general ledger entries, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.
- Process employee payroll weekly and produce payroll reports for management.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and efficiently resolve discrepancies.
- Make journal entries as needed.
- Perform daily deposit reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial concepts related to corporate accounting, payroll processing, and financial management.
**Qualifications**
- 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Great Plains, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.
