Dispatch / Permit Coordinator - Construction

A Johnson County company that is experiencing major growth is looking to add a Dispatch / Permit Coordinator to their team. This position works closely with customers, sales, project teams, field personnel, and outside agencies to keep jobs organized, properly permitted, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of large equipment for customer jobs and projects.
• Obtain oversize and overweight permits for equipment.
• Work with state and local agencies to secure required permits and approvals.
• Obtain and coordinate required oversize/overweight permits with state and local Departments of Transportation (DOT)
• Research travel routes, bridge restrictions, road closures, construction, and other transportation limitations.
• Ensure permits and job information are provided before mobilization.
• Assist with dispatch tickets, job tracking, and field personnel time across multiple job sites.
• Maintain accurate job and scheduling information
• Distribute daily and upcoming job schedules to sales and field personnel.
• Track bills of lading, load-out documentation, and related job paperwork.
• Prepare and maintain load sheets based on job and equipment requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, heavy equipment, trucking, equipment rental, or a related industry strongly preferred
• Experience securing oversize/overweight permits strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, field personnel, vendors, and internal teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules and priorities can change quickly.
