What You’ll Be Doing
The Safety Specialist supports the organization in maintaining employee health, safety, and training within regulatory requirements. This role assists in preventing workplace accidents, ensuring adherence to safety standards and maintaining training and records. You will collaborate closely with managers and division leaders on tasks like conducting job hazard analyses, equipment inspections, developing and delivering safety trainings, conducting accident investigations and maintaining DOT records and documentation.

What We Need from You
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 30 Hour or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- 1-2 years of experience in workplace safety or compliance support
- Valid Class D driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable for commercial insurability
- Clerical skills, including confidence with computers
- Comfort working in temperatures consistent with commercial refrigeration/freezers
Bonus Points if You Have
- Degree or certification in Occupational Safety
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA
- Agriculture or Industrial background
