Job Summary
The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of services, including repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, compressors, and general facility warehousing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot all needs for the facility, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Read and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs & VFDs.
- Utilize all skillsets and working knowledge of OSHA to ensure efficiency and uptime for safe operation.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls for all areas in the facility.
- Develop programs for CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts from 2D drawings, CAD models, or parts lists.
- Utilize Mastercam with ability to program 3D work.
- Program horizontal and vertical milling centers both 3 and 4-axis.
- Complete set-ups for multi-axis CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines and lathes.
- Support CNC operators with troubleshooting machine or process problems, tool selection, fixture issues, gaging, etc.
- Manage CNC controls (i.e. HAAS, FANUC, FAGOR, offsetting, teaching tools, and loading programs, etc.)
- Keep inventory for spare parts and manage maintenance crib.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with hands-on work in pneumatics and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of electrical principles, experienced in wiring.
- Knowledge and experience running and troubleshooting manual equipment.
- Fabrication and carpentry experience.
- Expert understanding of optimal tooling selection, feed and speed calculation, materials, and overall process improvement.
- Experience with 2D Drawings, CAD Models, schematics and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint/solid model comprehension.
- Ability to design and program necessary fixtures or tools for manufacturing parts.
Education:
- High School Degree or GED is required.
- Technical Degree is preferred.
