The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for assigned properties. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Performing rounds to conduct routine assessments
- Performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance
- Painting and housekeeping for assigned properties
Detailed Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Regularly maintain HVAC equipment as part of the facilities' preventive maintenance program
- Conduct necessary troubleshooting and testing to determine malfunctions or causes of breakdown
- Remove and replace faulty parts, sub-assemblies, and major components
- Re-test repaired equipment and make adjustments for proper operation
- Evaluate new equipment and ideas to maximize efficiency and cost savings
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid 2nd Class Stationary Engineer License
- At least 5 years of general building maintenance and steam turbine operation experience
- The ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team
- Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, and high levels of energy and endurance
- The ability to plan and organize work, prioritize tasks, and understand the importance of meeting deadlines
- A willingness to continue training to maintain knowledge in the latest equipment and technologies
