Foreman Electrical Low Voltage Installer
Location: Columbia, Maryland
Responsibilities:
- Installing, wiring and testing electronic systems including fire, security, card access, door entry, and other low voltage systems.
- Ability to work independently or supervise others as required.
- Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided.
- Customer service, coordination, and communication.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
- Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems.
- Knowledge of alarm system requirements and the ability to interpret code books and handbooks.
- Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
- NICET certifications a plus, but not required.
- AA degree in electronics is preferred.
- Ability to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required.
- Ability to utilize a laptop with system application software.
- Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
- Adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs.
- Must be willing to work at heights.
- Must be able to operate electrical tools.
- Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
