Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. Our client is growing fast globally and looking for top talent to join their team. They are a leading global supplier of Abrasive Blasting and Painting Facilities to a range of different industries.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for building blasting and coating facilities that power shipyards, industrial plants, and defense infrastructure. They will design everything from main power runs and distribution systems to the controls that keep facilities running safely and efficiently.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
- 5 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or large-facility projects.
- Strong background in heavy power design (main feeders, distribution systems, grounding systems, and high-load equipment).
- Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore a plus.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and related codes.
- Experience using EasyPower, ETAP, SKM, PSS, or other modeling software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Design medium voltage incoming tie-in through low voltage distribution throughout facilities, heavy-load feeders, and large-facility electrical layouts.
- Specify and design electrical and controls systems for industrial blasting and coating facilities.
- Produce schematics, panel layouts, and detailed electrical documentation in AutoCAD.
- Prepares scopes of work for external engineering subconsultants and manages budget, schedule, and scope.
- Ensure all designs meet NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and SMEs to integrate electrical systems into overall facility design.
- Support procurement and vendors to ensure components meet standards and specifications.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at project sites.
