Synerfac is seeking a Crew Chief for our client in Rockville, MD. The qualified candidate will successfully provide technical support to the Director of Surveys and/or the Field Coordinator. They will provide guidance and training to field technicians while leading small projects under the supervision of the Director.
- Performs all field survey activities in accordance to company, state, and industry standards.
- Assure crew adheres to procedures in the safety manual and uses all personal safety equipment provided.
- Responsible for supervising crew vehicle, equipment inventory, loading, and maintenance and supervises the crew"s use of equipment, preparation of sketches and notes, and electronic data collection.
- Supervises daily data collector downloading and prepares daily data logs, topographic and staking reports, and field change orders.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working on a survey field crew
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in trigonometry and basic surveying computations
- Experience operating and having knowledge of Total Stations, Data Collectors, GPS equipment and associated software
- Must be able to walk and lift up to 50 lbs
